THINK+feel Conteporary photographer Katerina Belkina's solo exhibition at theInternational Photobiennial Ostend 2025 showcases her fairy tales inspired series Dream Walkers admired by story telling and light. Katerina's solo exhibit showcases her captivating series Dream Walkers. Fairy tales are constant in all cultures, mirror and solidify societal norms through their archetypal elements. Like any well-told story, these tales incite vivid images in our minds, sharpening our imagination and judgment.

Belkina's images occupy a unique space between the written and oral traditions of storytelling. While they beautifully visualize the narrative, they do not confine the viewer's imagination. Instead, they encourage a deeper engagement, inviting us to become "Dream Walkers" ourselves. The exhibition brings to our audience documentary evidence of the Ukrainian refugee crisis at the border between Ukraine and Slovakia in the wake of the Russian invasion.

All the images were taken by Jano Stovka Master QEP at the Slovak-Ukrainian border March 2022

Organizers of the Bilboargazki photo festival, under whose auspices the show is taking place, could not have selected a more fitting location than the Bizkaia Aretoa Building right next to the greatly admired Guggenheim Bilbao Museum! The exhibition is on view through October 30.
